Sometimes, a dealer will tell a customer that they are getting a "plan-price" of some sort, but in reality, they are just discounting the price and trying to make them feel special. A good rule of thumb is no more than 4 lines in a paragraph of action lines. If you do find yourself with a lot of action lines and no dialogue to break it up, try to make the script an easier read by breaking the action up into smaller discrete chunks. ![]() In the first draft you may spend a paragraph describing your location but while rewriting you are trying to find the exact word to match the situation. Screenwriting is distilled writing using the fewest number of words to create the greatest possible impact. This is why some screenwriters use ALL CAPS to draw the reader’s attention to an action that, on screen, would have a strong impact, like the BANG of a gunshot. As long as it’s used sparingly this can be a very effective tool, particularly when writing in genres like Horror where visual/audio shocks are a significant part of the dramatic viewing experience. The aim is to give the reader the experience that the viewer will have. Many scripts suffer from having huge swathes of over-written action lines, making the reading experience frustratingly slow and laborious.Ī good rule of thumb is to aim for the reading experience to closely match the viewing experience, so the length of time it takes to read your description should match the length of time that action will last on screen.Ī novelist may spend a whole page describing a room but a screenwriter cannot take this long, unless you want the viewer to spend a whole minute looking at a static shot of your room with nothing happening at all! The second and third of these lack the action element that gives the read its pace and fluidity, so one of your jobs is to make these descriptions as active as possible. A screenplay needs to be a compelling read before it can become a great film or tv show. Overall, a great game to play if you want to have a quick race with Sonic and his rivals. You can also get cards for each achievement and all of them have a colorful Sonic related image, which include the characters, items and backgrounds from both Modern and classic eras. I also like the fact that you can win costumes for each character by completing each task, like using the ability several amount of times, running as many miles as possible, winning races and completing stories. The models are good, but it seems that they lack mouths, but then again, it's not that distracting due to the screen size. There are 8 characters in total, 2 per 1 team. The second mode has mini games such as Tag, King of the hill, collect chao and even fighting. There are 3 modes per location: Regular race, Challenge and Boss battle. There's also a sort of hot potato game where you have a bomb and you gotta give it to the other opponent before it blows up.that's pretty sadistic but whatever. ![]() In addition to boss fights, there's also death matches where you try to drain the rings out of you're opponent, it's pretty mindless but it's alright. In Sonic Rivals 1, all you did was racing with the occasional boss fight but I guess Sega thought that variety is the spice of life and added some other things you do while progressing through the story. The AI still rubberbands like crazy which is ashame because that was pretty annoying in Rivals 1. Like for example, you can't fly when you play as Tails and you can't glide as Knuckles. But other than that special, these characters are exactly the frickin same. Instead, the more Rings you get fuel up a meter that then you can use the special. However the special ability is no longer an item itself. You can obtain different items to mess with you're opponents which is pretty standard for a racing game. The name of the game is racing against characters in classic 2D Sonic action. Similar to presentation, the gameplay isn't too different from the original game. And considering that this game came out a year after the original, I would imagine that there wasn't too much time on this. I mean if it ain't broke don't fix it but it's practically the same thing as the original game. But really other than that, the presentation doesn't seem like they really added too much. The game doesn't seem like it was made on the cheap so that's pretty cool, they upgraded the quality up a bit. But really other than that, the presentation for plot is exactly the same. However this time, there's actual voice acting so that's pretty cool, it's nice that they actually added it in. Similar to Sonic Rivals 1, the plot is presented using text boxes and character stills. That's all fine and dandy but let's actually look into the presentation of this game. Granted, this has a more coherent storyline than Rival 1 but that's fine too. I mean if it makes the funny character go fast then that's all that really matters. It's really not that complicated but in all honesty, it doesn't really need to be. Sonic and Tails just wanna stop the doctor, Silver and Espio try to make sure Infrit doesn't form, Knuckles and Rouge fight over the Master Emerald and Shadow and Metal Sonic search for the Chaos Emeralds because it turns out that it's actually Eggman Nega trying to unleash Infrit. Next we create a new backup task, choose our new DD VE repository. Select repository (created earlier in DD VE). We serve the parameters of our Data Domain Virtual Edition and permissions (user Veeam which assumed earlier). We start by configuring a new repository, choose “Deduplicating storage appliance”. Now, the example of Veeam Backup (which is available here) will show you how to configure the Data Domain as repository and perform a backup of virtual machines. The menu is very clear, we can check and possibly rearrange what interests us. At this stage, Data Domain VE is working properly and fully functional. In the last step we can create a CIFS or NFS share. Another important option is the Storage Unit, here we create file space and user for the DD Boost protocol by which solutions such as Veeam Backup will be able to communicate with the Data Domain (give the name of the share and user). In the system options can change the sysadmin user’s password, set email alerts, etc. When you first log in the configuration wizard starts, with its level we can change the network settings and add new disk data (and many others). Load license file (community version is contained in the archive of DD VE). Launch and wait a few minutes, and log on to https: //DDVE_IP (login as sysadmin and password is changeme). Before the first VM power on, add an additional disk for data (500GB) and enable time synchronization with the host. It is required also to have DHCP server from which will be initialised network configuration (you can change this later from the management interface). If you have purchased a license to the DD VE, you must select the proper configuration (look at the table): During this operation, we have to decide what size of appliance choose (if we use community license choose the first option). Data Domain VE installation is very simple, from the vSphere Web Client load the OVA file to our environment. It also means that in addition to testing Data Domain VE as such, we can in our home lab create a professional place to store backups (ask yourself: is your NAS support deduplication?). This license allows the use of space 0.5T RAW (after deduplication safely accommodate 3T or more standard data), replication, encryption, and DD Boost ( support for external solutions). In this year was released virtual version of Data Domain, which is distributed as a OVA file and includes a community license. Add to that the replication between devices, and several other useful features and you have a really interesting solution supported by most backup solutions (eg. Thanks to incredibly efficient deduplication algorithms, in a relatively small space we are able to cram a huge amount of data. It is a device that can function as a NAS or as a software tape library (VTL) and used as a backup repository (generally). If you do not know what it is, I hasten to explain. ![]() This allows us to get acquainted with a number of solutions, including the latest one, which is Data Domain Virtual Edition. As I have not once wrote, EMC deserve great applause for the approach to the subject releasing their products in the community version. |
